Per the 2007-01-07 Detroit Free Press, Meridian makes the body of the Chevrolet Corvette and the Dodge Viper. I had been assuming that the Viper was a steel body, not composite.
When I worked for Admiral Equiment, a Dow Chemical subsidiary, Dow had an ongoing project to make a pickup truck bed by the RIM process.

Pickup boxes are an application where plastics offer a lot of benefits over sheet metal. When GM first looked at composite boxes there were numerous entrenched stakeholders, both internal and external, who fought the idea. Dow, Bayer, GM worked hard on RIM pickup boxes, unfortunately it is not the best material for that application.
